Founding agents

The people who back it

Big Noise Collective is band-run — but it doesn’t run on goodwill alone. A small number of trusted agents and managers help keep the standard where it needs to be: approving bands, sharing contacts, and making sure a recommendation coming via Big Noise still means something.

These are the people who backed it first.

Beast Maker Music

Artist management & booking — UK

A management and booking agency working with emerging and developing rock and heavy alternative artists across the UK. They came into Big Noise for the same reason it exists: they were already doing it this way.

Their stated position is transparency, fairness and genuine support — working with artists rather than above them, being clear about how decisions get made, never overcharging, and offering sliding-scale terms to bands who are struggling. They keep the roster deliberately small, and they take artist wellbeing seriously enough to have partnered with mental health services rather than just mention it. Behind that sits 28+ years of hands-on experience in performing, booking, management and tour planning.

Roster includes
White Tygër · Snakebite · Nophobia · Nothing In Return · Black Autumn · Buried In Bermuda · Dhampyres · Bare Knuckle Asylum · Junk Jaw · For The Forsaken

Morningstar

Artist management & live events — Southampton, UK

Morningstar handles artist management, live events and booking for a roster of UK rock, indie and alternative acts — bands based everywhere from Scotland and Sheffield to London, Derby and the South Coast, and out as far as Florence.

They work the same circuit Big Noise is built around, and they already look after two of the collective’s founding bands. That overlap is the point rather than a coincidence: the agents inside the collective are the ones bands may eventually move on to, once they’ve grown into it.

Roster includes
Break The Slate · Molly Karloff · The Darker My Horizon · Saffron Gorman and The Black Eagle Band · Circus 66 · Leadfeather · Alabama Crow · Violet Blend · No Setting Sun · Steal The City

Why a band-run collective has agents in it

It sounds like a contradiction. It isn’t.

Big Noise works best as a stepping stone. Newer bands come in, learn how to route a tour and deal with promoters properly, and then help the next lot coming through. Some will stay self-booking for good. Others will reach the point where a formal agent or manager relationship makes sense — and when they do, there are people already inside the collective who know them, have seen them work, and are worth talking to.

Nobody is obliged to go that way. There’s no exclusivity, no introduction fee, and no expectation. The agents here are part of the collective because they hold the same line on how bands should be treated — and because quality control is real work that shouldn’t fall on one person.

The more people sharing that load, the less any one of us has to carry.

Agents and managers: want in?

We’re looking for a small number of experienced agents, managers and self-booking bands to help hold the standard — approving who comes in, sharing contacts, and keeping the thing honest. It costs nothing and there’s no exclusivity in either direction.
